Chicago Ranks #8 in 2008 Global Cities Index
October 20, 2008 by blagica
A study organized by The Chicago Council on Global Affairs, A.T.Kearney and Foreign Policy magazine ranked the top 60 global cities. Â Chicago came in 8th overall, but 3rd when it comes to the human capital element. Â I would agree with most of the study’s findings, however, I disagree with the rank of ‘20′ when it comes to Cultural Experience.
It only takes a brief walk up Michigan Avenue, State Street or Pilsen to see the diversity Chicago has.
Did you know that Chicago has over 190 local/neighborhood theaters in our midst? Â These theaters are in addition to the Theatre District of downtown Chicago’s Randolph and LaSalle Streets. I can only imagine the amazing performances and events that each theater would host if we win the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games!
What is your favorite cultural gem of the city?
